Castellfollit de la Roca is a village of about 1,000 inhabitants and with less than 1 km2 of surface, which makes it one of the smallest municipalities in Catalonia. The small municipality is bounded by the confluence of the rivers Fluvià and Toronell, between which rises the spectacular basalt wall.
The profile of the church and the houses hanging over the basaltic wall, on the edge of the cliff, has become one of the most photographed and painted images of CataloniaBut it is also a magnificent natural viewpoint from which the valleys of the two rivers can be observed.

To access to the top of the church, you must first enter it (which is located at the end of the village, next to the town square), and pay a symbolic price of 3 € to climb on top of it and appreciate a 360º view of the whole landscape: On the one hand, we can appreciate the village from above, marveling at all the roofs of the houses, which draw a snake figure from the top of the rock. On the other hand, we will be able to see all the natural landscape of trees and mountains.
