Andorra has been an independent country since 1278 and on our guided tour, you’ll understand what the independence of this small principality has meant for the rest of the world. You’ll walk through the streets of its capital, Andorra la Vella, and get lost in the old town, seeing the most emblematic buildings that had great importance in history.

After this town walk, the tour will go on towards the mountains, from which you can enjoy a unique view of the whole town, 5,000 feet (1,500 m) above the valley floor. You will also have the chance to learn about Romanesque architecture in some of the country’s most representative churches, and finally end in a unique landscape, by one of its lakes, surrounded by the highest peaks of the Pyrenees.

FAQ

Arriving in a country and trying to get to know it on your own can be difficult. If you look for information on the internet and try to come up with your own route, you may end up visiting the most touristy places and not taking in the true essence of Andorra. Also, in order to get to many of the places we recommend, you will need to hire a car, but our tour includes transport.

You don’t have to tip the guide. However, if you’ve been happy with your experience and want to further thank the person who has taken you on your trip, they will gladly accept any tip you give them.

Our first-time tour of Andorra is one of the best for getting to know the principality in depth, with the help of a local guide. But you can’t get to know Andorra in one day, so let us suggest some more tours that may interest you: Three Nations trip, tour of the Valle Noroeste of Andorra, etc.
