1. Pola Cove in Tossa de Mar

Beginning our list of the most attractive coves in Catalonia, we start in Cala Pola. A small cove located 4 kilometers from Tossa de Mar, in Girona. Here the sand is coarse, the water is crystal clear and the pine mountains are the protagonists. This inlet offers magnificent landscapes, amid calm seas and unforgettable sunsets. Undoubtedly, a cove that invites to the tranquility of a family day.

2. Cap de Creus in Girona

The Cap de Creus is considered one of the natural coastal areas, which has the most the most charming and charismatic beaches of Girona. The Natural Park of Cap de Creus, is one of the most spectacular natural sites in the world, because it houses all the grandeur of the mountains of the Pyrenees, to lead to the majesty of the Mediterranean and of course in his beloved coves. The charm of Sa Tuna, lies in the beauty of its picturesque houses and the tranquility of its beach of about 80 meters of gravel. In this cove, bathing is safe, thanks to its coastline which is protected by the Punta d’es Plom, who holds back the current of the waves and allows the stay in Cala Sa tuna to be truly peaceful. The walking trails are also a good option in this place, allowing all visitors to enjoy the views and the enchanting landscape that surrounds it.

4. Cala aigua Xelida

North of the charming village of Tamariu, we find the Cala de Aigua Xelida: famous for its rocks that make up the coast, and the pine trees that reach the shore.

There are some curious people who come to spend a quiet afternoon in this humble cove of just 25 meters long and 12 meters wide. That is why, not being well known by tourists, and being such a small place, you can relax while enjoying the incredible views offered by this cove.

To access it, you can park in the Avi Xicu street and then walk there, or come directly from Tamariu beach (located 1.5 kilometers away).

5. Jovera Cove in Tamarit

Located at the foot of an imposing castle dating from the eleventh century, Cala Jovera is without hesitation, a sample of history in the middle of the sea and the mountains. Its beaches of fine sand and serene waters, incite to enjoy the exquisite pleasures of a wild beach, in the middle of the comfort of its services. Therefore, access to this beach is limited and it is not suitable for everyone.

6. Aiguablava Cove in Begur

Begur, how beautiful Begur is. We have mentioned it many times, but there is no doubt that its coves are extraordinary and of course Cala Aiguablava, could not be the exception. This cove has all the characteristics of the Costa Brava: pine forest vegetation, clear waters and rocky cliffs. 7. Estreta cove in Palamós

In the midst of a natural environment, all the magic of Cala Estreta unfolds.. A small cove located in the municipality of Palamós, only 100 meters long and divided between the imposing rocky cliff of Roja and the intense blue of the Mediterranean Sea. An exotic and wild beach in the heart of the Costa Brava.

8. Fonda Cove or Waikiki

Surrounded by two other coves (Playa de la Móra beach to the north, and Playa Larga to the south), we find the incredible Cala Fonda or Waikiki. The lack of services such as bars, beach bars, bathrooms or others, makes this cove one of the most appreciated in the area for its tranquility and comfort.

It is not very easy to access, and that makes it special. Surrounded by vegetation and fine sand, makes it a cove as close as possible to a paradisiacal beach in the middle of the Costa Daurada.

With its 200 meters long and 25 meters wide, we can enjoy a sunny day without wearing a swimsuit or clothing that covers us, as it is a nudist cove.

9. Sabolla cove in Cadaqués

The bay of Cadaqués always surprises us. Following the road towards the beach of Sa Conca and the lighthouse of Cala Nans, we find Cala Sabolla. A small cove hidden between two rocky sediments, ideal for a romantic and quiet getaway.

10. Cala Bona in Tossa

Being a cove well sheltered from the winds coming from the north, Cala Bona becomes an ideal place to enjoy sea and sun bathing, full of tranquility.

This last cove that we bring you, is the most particular of all, because once you access it, you will find a beach bar that offers the convenience of being able to be on the shore of the cove, while you take a refreshing drink or eat at noon enjoying the incredible views of this small but cozy cove.

The access is easy by means of stone stairs, and the scenery is dreamlike. And if you do not want to go to eat at the beach bar or restaurant, you can still go for a dip and enjoy the waters of the Costa Brava.
